Cloud burst and floods likely in Uttarakhand an alert
Due to neglect of studies of chemistry and physics and basing all the understanding of weather on pressure and temperature is proving inconclusive. Almost everyday the predictions are failing and weathermen are finding an alibi in alnino or such factors which are very little understood and have not very well pronounced impact. The local factors which are dominantly affecting are being completely overlooked which are having a devastating effect.
The Indo gangetic plains are getting crowded day by day making excessive us of air conditioning, inverters, and diesel generators are continuously adding much heat to the atmosphere in addition to the heat of bright sun light because clouds are avoiding the Palins. Clouds are finding it easier to move towards the Himalayan heights which are comparatively cooler and wind is also helpful unlike the plains are not only hotter but high rise buildings and other activities are gradually adding heat to the system resisting condensation.
Himalayan region is providing a friendly atmosphere for condensation due which clouds are precipitating. Contrary to this the hot and hydrocarbon loaded air which become hydrophobic in nature does not provide a conducive situation for precipitation. Thus the concentration of moisture in the Himalayan region is easier and is going to bring in cloud bursts in the region.
It is very likely that the episode of 2013 that was witnessed in Kedar Nath and adjoining areas may be repeated very soon and this time it may extend to the upper regions also such as laddakh and Amarnath and Kashmir.
This is just to serve the purpose of an alert and the government
agencies in the area must be prepared for any emergency .

American sanctions on Iran, imperatives for India
There is no doubt that the fluctuations in the crude prices are bound to affect the prices of petroleum products in the country, yet there is a need to understand the inadequacy of the policy of the Govt of India. In fact the inefficient operation is affecting recoveries of the Indian Petroleum refineries. It is far below the expected limits and adoption of redundant technologies and running the system without updating is the main reason. No status report or evaluation of the refineries is possible due to the protection they are getting from the Govt. The problem can be tackled by calling upon the experts related to energy saving and acknowledged chemists who can do real chemistry to control the emissions and modifications of the system to bring in a change in the production level. In fact there is no effort on this side done by the ministry is ever heard. It appears that the whole ministry and institutes of the Govt. are in a state of seize by the people who have no concern for the country. This situation is reflective of the weak ministerial control because in such matters it is easy to divert the attention or create a very foggy picture to confuse a nonunderstanding type of minister ( since our ministers are afraid of mind boggling statistics and data displayed by tricky bureaucrats and dishonest technocrats . They take the benefit of this confusion and stop the ministerial interference and always impose their views .This situation can be handled only by scientist administrators who have the abilities to expose the data jugglery. The author has tackled many such situations and knows well the tyranny of BABUDOM playing such truants.
There is no dearth of competent people in the country. The problem of competent persons is their inability to indulge in self praise, seek favors and muster resources to come closer to the people who matter (instead of pursuing academic activities) and enter the system from where they can protect and prevent the ruin of the system. It is a big question that must be asked from the oil producing companies, how are they justified in comparing their profits with the overseas producers operating with higher efficiencies and frugal habits, which Indian companies abhor? Why should the profits be compared with overseas producers when the technology is not upgraded and the personnel is incompetent at this end? Some concerted efforts need to be made to answer this . The answer probably holds the key to check the price rise and consequent embarrassment to the Govt.
If the level of efficiency is raised the losses could be controlled and otherwise the refineries be asked to close down and resort to direct import of processed oil in place of crude. Other organisations can also be permitted to bring in a healthy competition. This will generate an atmosphere ending in the price stabilization. The reality is well known to the people . It is only the wested interest of some higher-ups which is creating a big blockade in the reform ,but is not in the interest of the public. As regards the people, they have to suffer for their ignorance and gullibility, empowering the politicians beyond a limit which detrimental to the interest of the nation, as is the present situation. The fallout of unfettered powers to the politicians is reflected in several no restrictions for gas guzzling cars and voluminous cars on narrow Indian roads. The people are never choosy about the engine quality, fuel efficiency and robustness of the body. Instead they are wooed more by the outer cosmetic modifications like design of the head lights, interior coolers ,bumper colours and automatic door and windows which are a problem adding the long term and a sort of hazard from the maintenance view point. This is a result of incapacitated vision of the Indian buyer who is completely ignorant about the developing technologies and fallouts of the inefficient system. The craze of foreign made is having its kill and is praying upon the ignorance of the Indian masses.
As regards the impact of sanctions and inability to transfer money for the Iranian oil purchase, it is easily possible to tackle through simple barter system of trade . Its modalities could be worked out with the Iranian Govt before it is too long.

Combating price rise of petrol and Sanctions on Iran
(Scientific analysis hinting at the lopsided policy of the Govt and suggested wayout)
Combating price rise of petrol and Sanctions on Iran
There is no doubt that the fluctuations in the crude prices are bound to affect the prices of petroleum products in the country, yet there is a need to understand the inadequacy of the policy of the Govt of India. In fact the inefficient operation is affecting recoveries of the Indian Petroleum refineries . This situation is reflective of the weak ministerial control because in such matters it is easy to divert the attention or create a very foggy picture to confuse a nonunderstanding type of minister .Often our ministers are afraid of mind boggling statistics and data displayed by tricky bureaucrats and dishonest technocrats who take the benefit of this confusion stopping the ministerial interference and successfully impose their views .This situation can be handled only by scientist administrators who have the abilities to expose the data jugglery( the author has tackled many such situations and knows well the tyranny of BABUDOM playing such truants) . The petroleum ministry appears to be having problems which reflects in many ways such as the imbalanced sharing of the price increase of crude on all the byproducts of petroleum instead of putting it only on petrol. This needs to be given a thought by knowledgeable persons. There is no dearth of competent people in the country. The problem of competent persons is their inability to indulge in self praise, seek favors and muster resources to come closer to the people who matter (instead of pursuing academic activities) and enter the system from where they can protect and prevent the ruin of the system.
There is a pertinent question that must be asked from the oil producing companies. How are they justified in comparing their profits with the overseas producers operating with higher efficiencies and frugal habits, which Indian companies abhor? Why should the profits be compared with overseas producers when the technology is not upgraded at this end? Some concerted efforts need to be made to answer this . The answer probably holds the key to check the price rise and consequent embarrassment to the Govt frequently.
If the level of efficiency is raised the losses could be controlled and otherwise the refineries be asked to close down and resort to direct import of processed oil in place of crude. Other parties can also be permitted to bring in a healthy competition. This will generate an atmosphere ending in the price stabilization. The reality is well known to the people . It is only the wested interest of some higher-ups which is creating a big blockade in the reform ,but is not in the interest of the public. As regards the people, they have to suffer for their ignorance and gullibility , empowering the politicians beyond a limit is not a good thing. The fallout of unfettered powers to the politicians is becoming harmful in several ways. For example no trade restrictions for gas guzzling cars and voluminous cars on narrow Indian roads exists. These are a source of pollution, road jams and often causing road accidents due to their high power engines and speeds , completely unsuitable for Indian roads including that of Delhi. The people are never choosy about the engine quality, fuel efficiency and robustness of the body instead they are wooed more by the outer cosmetic modifications like design of the head lights, interior colours ,bumper colours and automatic door and windows which are a problem adding the long term hazard from the maintenance view point. This is a result of incapacitated vision of the Indian buyer who is completely ignorant about the developing technologies and fallouts of the inefficient system. . The craze of foreign made goods offered under loan schemes, is having its kill and is praying upon the ignorance of our people. It is taking the shape of a social evil. There is no Govt agency to educate the people on such matters which have got a direct link to the economy and environment .
Presently the shadow of American sanctions on Iran causing an unease and latent dangers of price rise of fuel needs to be handled appropriately on long term basis. The situation cant not be assumed to be a phenomenon only confined to the transfer of money. For the present, the impact of sanctions and inability to transfer money for the Iranian oil purchase, needs to be tackled through simple barter system of trade . Its modalities could be worked out with the Iranian Govt . People may doubt that Indian Govt (which is depending totally upon Chinese imports) has something or anything of liking and need of Iran ,to trade with. It will be a great satisfaction if, an advanced ,self dependent and politically concious Iran agrees does need any Indian goods to trade with such a precious commodity as oil having potentials to immobilize the economy.

Inefficiency of Petroleum Refineries is sole cause of Petrol hike
Within a very short period twice the prices of petrol has been increased! This has become a trend of this fuel sector which is every time focusing on petrol only in the garb of crude price variances. Such price rise can be justified only if the prices of the other petroleum products including aviation fuel, naphtha, gas, toluene ,benzene, diesel, kerosene pitch ,heavy oil,wax etc are also simultaneously revised. What is the rationale of increasing or choosing only PETROL?
It appears that there is some other motive behind such price rise because it is no way linked to the production and yield capacity of the crude.
If the motive of the companies is to discourage the use and utilization of petrol as fuel ,some other thought needs to be given. If it is that the fraction of petrol is less in the distillation, it is a cause of worry and concern for which a high power scientific commission be appointed including persons working in the field of fuel saving, energy resources, catalysts etc to analyse the situation threadbare and find out a way . It is a very serious matter as it directly means that either the process adopted is improper or refineries are not working at proper rated efficiencies due to which the yield of petrol is less and to compensate for the petroleum products’ every time petrol is picked. The efficiency of the refineries are to be audited by the government. People should raise this question before the public representatives who are mostly ignorant of these factors .Present affairs of increasing the prices by the companies are nothing but a way to divert the attention of the Govt from the inefficiency of the refineries and its administration.
It is high time that if pre budget hike in petroleum prices are manipulated in such an arbitrary manner, it will lead to chaotic situation during the budget and after the budget. Because the pace at which the price of petrol is being increased, the price may reach very soon within a couple of fortnights to Rs.1.00 or more. At such a juncture the working of these organizations needs to be brought under the scanner because out right it hints towards some malady in the industry which appears to be emanating from the bad quality of crude being purchased and improper recoveries. It is surprising why scientists are silent? Either they do not know the petroleum refining and the processes or they are too timid to raise the issues of public interest which is highly condemnable.
If the Govt believes in transparency it should publish complete detail of the yield of the crude , product wise and product wise costing as well as the losses the refineries are likely to suffer and ways to compensate with equitable distribution of the price rise in the process of recovery including purchase price of the crude. Adhocism in price rise needs to be objected. Statistical weighting of the pricing appears necessary. It is also necessary to go for cheap and better quality crude form the open world market in order to stabilize the prices otherwise it will lead to total chaos. It is a bad omen.
I have carried out experiments to prove that around 25-30 % alcohol can be used for blending in petrol to contain the price rise but it is surprising that despite the fact that media highlighted the results of my public demonstrations of the experiment, the Govt has feigned ignorance and has partially allowed a blend of 5% and has preferred a price hike of the petrol.
I would like to draw the attention of the Petroleum Ministry towards the fact that why can not the Govt consider conversion of gas into petrol to come out of the muddle at least for some time till a suitable solution is found, specially when the country is facing a difficult time due to uncontrolled prices of all the commodities.
